Call for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Graduate Fellows

Graduate and Undergraduate students discussing with former Mexican Ambassador Fuentes Berain Lund Debate Speaker

Deadline: March 14, 2023; 11:59pm

The Latin American and Caribbean Studies (LACS) program invites graduate students each year to apply to become a LACS Graduate Fellow for the next academic year. Fellowships are competitive and provide an opportunity for a select number of graduate students to engage with a broad, interdisciplinary community dedicated to the study of Latin America and the Caribbean. The fellowship includes a small stipend for the year. Request an application at lacs@cornell.edu

Graduate Fellows participate actively in the Latin American and Caribbean Studies program, organizing and attending the seminar series, organizing at least one event that promotes interactions between undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty, as well as collaboration across disciplines and/or world areas.  Events the LACS Graduate Fellows organize may include: a workshop around a specific theme, a roundtable on recent events, short film series, and the annual LACS February Research Symposium.   Each fellow identifies and invites at one speaker for the LACS Seminar Series, preferably that requires travel within the Northeast.

Deadline: Tuesday, March 14th, 11:59pm, send earlier if you can.
