Agnieszka Nimark has been a long-term Visiting Scholar at the Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies since 2014. She is also an Associate Senior Researcher (non-resident) in Global Geopolitics and Security at CIDOB – Barcelona Centre for International Affairs, Spain. Nimark holds a master’s degree in international public law and international organizations from the University of Paris 1-Pantheon-Sorbonne and a Ph.D. in law from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy. As a visiting scholar, she works on various archival, documentary, and oral history projects related to nuclear disarmament movements with the Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies. Her main areas of expertise are the evolution of the United Nations collective security and peacekeeping system in the post-Cold War period and the role of regional organizations in conflict prevention and crisis management.
