SAP is the world's leading publisher of Sinhala language textbooks, with books for colloquial and literary, beginning and intermediate language learners. SAP also publishes beginning and intermediate Nepali language textbooks, and a Nepali-English glossary.

Nine SAP occasional papers, published between 1971 and 1996, are available as open access PDF downloads. The annually published SAP bulletin is also available open access, as are 40 previous bulletins, which used to be published semi-annually, going back to 1990.

In 2023, SAP debuted a podcast, The Next Monsoon (available on all major platforms), tied to a National Endowment for the Humanities funded project, The Next Monsoon: Climate Change and Contemporary Cultural Production in South Asia.

SAP also sells three documentary film DVDs on religion and community in Gwalior by Daniel Gold, Professor Emeritus of Asian Studies.
