Camille is a doctoral student in the Division of Nutritional Sciences, studying international nutrition and epidemiology. She is interested in maternal and child nutrition, in particular the role of nutrition interventions in immune system strengthening and disease management and prevention. She currently works in the preliminary stages of a randomized controlled trial in southern India that will assess the potential health benefits of meals containing wheat, pearl millet, lentils and sweet potatoes biofortified with vitamin A, iron and zinc. Immunological, biological, and nutritional biomarkers will be assessed over nine months of follow-up.
