Applying Your Experience

Perhaps you’ve already secured your international academic program, you’ve studied abroad, or you are an international student currently on the Cornell campus. If you are eager to apply your valuable international experience to a worthwhile project while you finish your degree, here is a sampling of what you can do.

International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) needs volunteers every semester for:

Cornell Abroad hires students who have already studied abroad to be members of the Student Information Team. These students share their knowledge and experience with other Cornell students who are considering going abroad.

The Public Service Center:

The EARS program needs student volunteers with cross-cultural skills to counsel other Cornell students, including the 3000 international students and scholars on campus.

The International Students Programming Board (ISPB) provides international leadership on campus.

The International Living Center needs Resident Assistants who can use their own international experience to help fellow residents.

The Area Studies Programs of the Mario Einaudi Center also offer outreach programs to extend information about their world regions to the community and schools beyond Cornell. Contact the following Programs for information about becoming involved in their outreach activities.
