Activity 6: A Conversation about Cambodia

With the handout that you have just been given, create a dialogue (conversation) between an American and Cambodian on the following topics:

You must include 2-3 facts per topic. At the end of your dialogue, draw an illustration that represents one of the topics in your dialogue. Here's an example:

Two individuals are eating lunch at McDonald's.

Judy: Thak, I've heard you speak Khmer to your parents. How is your language different from English?

Thak: Well, the Enlgish language has only 26 letters in their alphabet. Khmer has 59 letters, and most Americans find it difficult to speak.
