Alumni Information
80 percent of or undergraduate majors have gone on to pursue graduate work. SEAP’s impact is multiplied significantly because it has provided staff to major universities in the U.S. and around the world to teach about Southeast Asia. In fact, four of nine current directors of the National Research Centers are SEAP alumni. Currently, alumni of SEAP serve as high-ranking diplomats, bank and foundation executives, officers of the World Bank and the military, and representatives of federal and foreign governments.

The Southeast Asia Program at Cornell University has provided graduates (MA and PhD) to post-secondary institutions worldwide as teachers and mentors. Many of these individuals have become renowned experts in their fields. 31.75 percent of the SEAP graduates are teaching in post-secondary institutions. Among these alumni, 55 percent are teaching in post-secondary institutions in the US and 45 percent are teaching in post-secondary institutions Abroad.
