2008 Winner of the Freeman Prize in Peace Studies Announced

The Harrop and Ruth Freeman Prize in Peace Studies is awarded annually in the spring to a Cornell graduating senior. The Freemans established the prize to offer recognition and encouragement to Cornell students actively engaged in promoting peace. This year's winner is Perry O'Brien.

Carnegie Corporation of New York Awards $290,000 Grant to Cornell

The Carnegie Corporation of New York has awarded Kathleen Vogel, Assistant Professor of the Department of Science and Technology and the Peace Studies Program at Cornell University, a grant for her project "'Living Legacy': An Oral History of U.S. & Soviet Bioweaponeers and Its Implications for Understanding Past, Present, and Future Biosecurity Threats."
