Cornell Educational Resources for
International Studies

The Cornell Educational Resources for International Studies (CERIS) outreach team is committed to engaging audiences outside of the University. Made up of the Einaudi Center for International Studies, the East Asia Program, the Institute for African Development, the Institute for European Studies, the Latin American Studies Program, the South Asia Program, and the Southeast Asia Program, CERIS is guided by the principal that we extend expertise in International Studies to advance the public good and the Cornell University mission.

We do this by supporting the work of K-12 educators, post-secondary educators, the business community, and the general public. We currently provide professional development opportunities for educators, support development of and disseminate curriculum units of timely import on subjects related to international studies and specific world areas, and offer resource materials to support educational opportunities. We facilitate public lectures, dance and music performances, and other cultural events. We collaborate with organizations on campus and throughout the state on projects designed to offer our resources beyond traditional academic constituencies. Through our efforts we hope to foster interest, discussion, debate, and understanding for international and area studies throughout American society.
