Outreach for Educators

The Einaudi Center's outreach activities support faculty in community colleges, four-year School of Education institutions, and teachers in K-12 schools who wish to expand their international offerings. We offer professional development opportunities, as well as resources for educators including a lending library, teaching materials, afterschool language programs, cultural programs, and an outreach newsletter.

International Studies Summer Institute (ISSI)

ISSI group

Every summer we run a professional development workshop for practicing and pre-service K-12 teachers called International Studies Summer Institute (ISSI). The goal of this workshop is to aid teachers in internationalizing K-12 curricula and incorporating more on world regions into their classrooms. Themes change every year. Past themes have addressed global education through the arts and schools around the world: looking at education through an international lens.

Resources for Educators

SEAP Lending Library

Lending Library

The lending library is an online educational outreach resource housed in Libib.com, which provides images, descriptive text, and searchable keywords to aid the teacher-user in finding the materials they need. The library encompasses all of the regional programs within the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, including the Southeast Asia Program.
