Project Title:
Climate Vulnerability Assessments for the city of Khulna in Bangladesh
Project Abstract:
Vulnerability assessments have increasingly become essential to better understand disaster and climate changes risks at different scalar levels. The assessment of vulnerability at the appropriate spatial scale is seen as the key step in developing adaptation responses that are effective, and focused on both development and the needs of the poor. The objective of my research is to show how a specific type of vulnerability framework, the MOVE framework, can be applied at the city level – a scale between the national and community levels. My research work plans to build on the MOVE framework in the context of the Khulna city in Bangladesh.
