
Harry de Gorter is an associate professor in the Department of Applied Economics and Management. He teaches and conducts research on the political economy and applied welfare economics of agricultural trade policy. Together with John J. Barcelo (Cornell Law School) he received an Einaudi Center seed grant for his work on WTO Disciplines and Beliefs. For more information click here.
The current era is a watershed period for foreign policy as the world adjusts to new post cold war dynamics. Many new challenges are emerging for the global community, from the need to respond to global warming to the challenges posed by terrorism. The Einaudi Center’s Foreign Policy Initiative emerged from the understanding that Cornell needs to contribute to these important debates. Its goals are to maximize the intellectual impact of Cornell’s existing resources in the area of international public affairs, and to enhance the impact of the Einaudi Center’s resources in this area.
