Fulbright U.S. Student Program

Receive support to travel abroad and conduct your research

The Fulbright Program of the U.S. Department of State is administered on the Cornell campus by the Mario Einaudi Center's Fulbright Adviser. These grants for study or research abroad are awarded on a nationally competitive basis to U.S. citizens who are graduate students or will have earned the bachelor’s degree prior to September of the year for which the grant is being awarded. Over 150 countries worldwide participate in the Fulbright Program with Teaching Assistantships now available in over 25 countries. The Full grants generally provide funding for round-trip travel, maintenance for one academic year, health and accident coverage, and full or partial tuition. Though the competition is keen for a limited number of openings, this is a very attractive opportunity for students with a serious interest in advanced study or research overseas.

Grant Competition Opens May 1

Interested individuals should contact our Program Advisor, Professor Emeritus Gil Levine, at fulbright@is.cornell.edu or 607.255.8933, for more information and to schedule an appointment. Applications must be submitted electronically and hard copy materials sent to Brigid Shipman, 158 Uris Hall, 607.255.8933, by the campus closing date of September 12, 2008.
