Closely linked to the twinning venture is a series of activities designed to target local businesses in the Ithaca area, especially area vineyards and hospitality companies but also small value-added enterprises. Two business-oriented training programs will focus specifically on commerce central to the Finger Lakes region, educating participants about opportunities to do business with and invest in European Union countries. Teleconferencing technology will be used to link-up with counterparts and experts in Europe, particularly in Cephalonia, which is considered one of Greece’s top tourist and wine-producing regions. Spaces are filled on a first come first serve basis. Please register by e-mailing Wylie at wes22@cornell.edu or by phoning (607) 255-7592.
