Cornell Classical Chinese Colloquium: Peter Lavelle (History), "Coming across the Frontier: Late Qing Missives about Xinjiang from Imperial and Local Archives" |
|
| The Cornell Classical Chinese Colloquium is a reading group for scholars interested in Chinese studies. All are welcome, at any level of experience with Classical Chinese. At each meeting, one participant presents a text in Classical or Literary Chinese. Attendees discuss literary, historical, linguistic, and all other aspects of the text, and work together to resolve difficulties in comprehension and translation. No preparation required: all texts will be distributed at the meeting. For more information, to present (all sorts of works welcome), or if interested but unable to attend, please contact TJ Hinrichs |
