Professor Peter Katzenstein will deliver a keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Forum 2009

Professor Peter Katzenstein, Government and CAPS, will deliver a keynote speech, "A World of Plural and Pluralist Civilizations," at the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Forum 2009 on November 6 in Beijing. Other keynote speakers are Kenneth J. Arrow, Nobel laureate in economics, Seyyed Hossein Nasr, leading scholar on Islam culture, and Zhou Qiren, prominent Chinese economist. President David Skorton is also invited to participate in this year's Beijing Forum, "The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All - Looking beyond the Crisis for a Harmonious Future." CAPS class of 2010 students will attend the opening ceremony and other sessions.
