Mission Statement
"The Mission of the Southeast Asia Program at Cornell University is to promote the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge about countries in the Southeast Asian region, their languages, literatures, visual and performing arts, histories, societies, economies, governments, religions, and ideologies, through the support of teaching, research, student degree programs, library and archival resources, specialized publications, and outreach activities."

Cornell’s Southeast Asia Program (SEAP) is an interdisciplinary program within the College of Arts and Science. SEAP works closely with the Einaudi Center for International Studies and the Department of Asian Studies. Its network of resources includes an Outreach program, a publication program, an educational research center (Kahin Center), and the Echols Collection- the largest Southeast Asia library collection in the United States.
