International Studies Institute for Middle and High School Teachers

The periodic International Studies Institute for secondary teachers is a unique opportunity for teachers to study directly with Cornell scholars about global issues. The content of the day-long workshops is aligned with New York State curriculum standards and is designed to provide information and resources that teachers can apply immediately in the classroom. Cornell professors and graduate students affiliated with the Institute for African Development and European, Latin American and Asian area studies programs offer fascinating presentations and discussions on historical and current issues. The sponsoring programs also provide handouts of resource lists, primary documents, maps and other materials for teachers to use with their students.
