International Education Week, an annual event initiated in 2000 by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, will be celebrated November 16-20. The Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies and its associated programs, as well as many other groups supporting international education, will once again mark the week through talks, presentations, and activities.

The Harrop and Ruth Freeman Prize in Peace Studies is awarded annually in the spring to a Cornell graduating senior. The Freemans established the prize to offer recognition and encouragement to Cornell students actively engaged in promoting peace. Congratulations to Amy Pearlman for winning the prize in 2009.
