Teacher Grant for Developing a Curriculum Unit on Europe
Four grants of $1,125 are available in 2008. This grant is open to upstate New York teachers of grades K-12 from all subject areas, including but not limited to social studies, foreign languages, language arts, math and science. The curriculum unit must focus primarily on Europe. First priority will be given to applicants who have not previously received a Teacher Grant award from IES, though all educators are encouraged to apply.
Funds will be disbursed as professional service fees (teacher compensation) for time and materials required to research and develop a curriculum unit on Europe. Successful candidates will be paid in two installments of $562.50; the first installment will be presented at the project start and the second upon receipt of the curriculum unit on or before August 15.
