There are four committees that make up the administrative board. Each committee appears below with a brief description and a listing of its current members.

Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee assists in the formulation of the general policy of the Institute; approves the program of work of the Institute; and guides the Institute in its activities.

Fellowship Committee

The Fellowships and Grants Committee formulates the policies, and conditions for the award of the Institute of African Development Fellowships; receives applications for the Institute for African Development Fellowships and Einaudi Travel Awards; reviews and awards fellowships to applicants in accordance with the guidelines established by the Committee.

Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee is responsible for continuing to develop the Institute’s outreach program offered to local elementary, middle and high schools by developing creative ways to enhance the study of Africa in area classrooms.
